Nationalism is when you have love for your country and when you represent your country in any event that they take part in.You know when your nationalistic when you have an American flag outside you house and when you sign the national anthem.
Nationalism played a big role in the creation of Italy because people was getting tired of being ruled by Austria. So they faught and lost some of there battles. Then a man name Cavour help unite Italy at last and drive away Austrian forces away.
